A few TipMonkies cool tips
September 22nd, 2005
TipMonkies.com is a cool tech site that I really like since most tips relate to my fields of interest.
Anyhow, I’ve managed to gather a few that I wanted to mention recently:
1. Reader2, tag your book collection!
As you may or may not now I LOVE books. I’m not just saying that I love READING books (Which I do), I actually love BOOKS. So I have quite a few of them… Hehe, I know I know, I’m weird…
Anyhow, I also like cataloging and creating a detailed library of my book collection.
Couple that with my love of the Social Web and Tagging – And Reader2 looks like a winner in my case!

2. SearchFox: the future of social bookmarking?
Need I really say more? The title says it all!

3. Put Windows in your pocket with PE Builder
I’ve known about Bart PE Builder for quite a long time now.
However, this has never occurred to me before – Use Bart PE Builder to create a bootable Windows USB key!
How cool is that?!

4. Rojo, a new approach to RSS aggregators
Now read this carefully: This guy actually uses Rojo as a replacement for Bloglines!
I use Blogline religiously, and even the thought of something better give me goose bumps..!
I haven’t tried it yet, wanted to share it with you guys first – So check it out with me.

Glad you enjoy the site so much! Congrats on your baby by the way. Out of curiosity, have you played with Listal? Man, am I digging it. As for Rojo, I like to experiment with things, which is one reason I dropped Bloglines temporarily. I always end up going back to it in the end, so we’ll see what happens this time.

Hey Martin,
First of all, no worries, fixed your comment so noone will notice…!
I have seen your post about Listal, even delicoused it as you can see in the main page delicous links – However, I only briefly examined it – Not anything I can make an opinion with…
In any case it would be VERY tough to beat the solution I use today to catalog my stuff.
I use Collectorz software for all my books and DVDs (I plan to post the database online very soon…).
And thanks for the kind words!
Keep up the great work!

I’ve tried Collectorz and enjoyed it, but I’m really starting to prefer web-based solutions over software ones…but that’s just me, it’s great otherwise. Thanks for fixing the comment BTW.
