KGB Archiver a^?? Either a truly amazing new archiver or an amazing Internet scam

Over at Digg a very interesting news item was posted today. The title was: Compress MS Office 430MB ISO to 1.4MB with KGB Archiver.
WOW. Do you even realize how amazing that would be if it’s true?!
Apparently, a lot of readers thought so to, and pretty quickly the discussion reached, as of writing, over 230 comments.
Most of the comments dismiss this as an elaborate scam. Actually a very sophisticated trojen, malware or simply a scam a^?? One reader called it an early April fools day prank.
HOWEVER, I couldn’t find a single proof that’s it a scam. What I *did* find was this archiver featured in sites such as download.com, softpedia and many others, for over a month now.
Not a single bad review. The only ones I could find were positive ones.
I have no idea at this stage if it’s the real deal or a really intricate scam a^?? In any case it’s very interesting and I’ll keep track of this story.
