Anyone dealing with programming, or related areas, probably met, at some level or another, the GPL (GNU General Public License) concept.
A lot of private and commercial software products use existing GPL software for some of the internal components – It’s free and the source code is open.
The license, however, has a few interesting properties you should be familiar with before using.
And most people think that they understand the concept.
