Why would I post about this?
Well, I wouldn’t.
I wouldn’t unless I had the honor of teaching two colleagues, at two different workplaces, how to shake hands properly.
This might sound weird to you, but the same exact thing happened in both cases.
I’ve developed a comfortable enough relationship with the that guy that once after shaking simply smiled and said “You know it’s fucking annoying there’s no force feedback on your side?”
The perfect explanation was to give him some of his own medicine and I demonstrate how it feels on the other side.
In both cases the guy was simply amazed at how annoying it is and couldn’t believe he was doing that for his entire life.
This quickly led to a short session of “How to properly shake hands”.
In both cases the results were the same – The guy was simply ecstatic with the new find and couldn’t quit thanking me.
It’s clear that these two guys are now enthusiastic about shaking hands and probably make a considerably better first impression with other people.
