Time Person of The Year: It’s You!
December 19th, 2006
Time Magazine has named it’s traditional Time Person of The Year: It’s You!
And when they say You, they actually mean what’s very dear and close to myself and other readers: The Internet. Or rather the Social Web. Or Web 2.0.

Time Magazine is marking this year where Web sites with user-created content have taken off.
Digg, YouTube, MySpace, any blog, hell even AviDardik.com - They are all prime examples of what Time Magazine is crowning.
And I agree. Web 2.0, while also being a cynical marketing buzz word, is actually the true embodiment of what the Internet was meant to be. A mass, uncensored, unlimited, ungoverned tool for people to share information.
And at it’s core, that’s exactly what Web 2.0 is about.
NOT about being bought by Google.
P.S.: Not to mention the fact that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (AKA Hitler II) was denied the reward…!
