Hidden camera gags are usually very low brow type of humor. But sometimes they are simply masterpieces.
Like the other gags I’ve posted here at the time, this is yet another super smart, super funny hidden camera gag.

Watch as 2 identical rooms with a simple glass in the middle, and 2 coordinated twins make the victims think they can’t see their own reflection in the mirror.

* Note: If you don’t know German – The prankster actually tells the victims she can see them fine.

This was posted yesterday. Now, a day after, it’s OFFICIALLY official: “Toshiba just made a statement saying, it will no longer develop, manufacture and market HD DVD players and recorders.”

This is big news for the consumers and the digital media world. It seems like the format wars are officially over:

After the first Hollywood Reporter indications, along with the Japanese NHK article comes additional confirmation from Reuters sources, it’s a wrap. Toshiba is shutting down its DVD manufacturing facilities in Aomori Prefecture, Japan, while official word is expected “soon”.

This is of course very good for the consumer, as beyond the simple fact that 2 incompatible formats is generally bad for a consumer, the Blu-Ray is considered to be technically better (Defintely holds musch more data per disc).

If you’re around my age (30+) and watched Israeli TV throughout childhood (Israel is my case, the U.S. and other countries also apply of course..) you’re bound to have some nostalgic pieces that will never leave you.
Mine was The Shopping Bag Lady short movie – I have no idea how old I was when it aired, probably something around 9-12.
That movie freakin’ broke my heart. I actually cried like hell every time I watched it and felt my heart breaking a little every time.
It’s one of my most influential and remembered nostalgic TV moments.

Well – Guess what?
I’ve actually found the entire movie online! And it still does the trick, 20 years after.

So if you’re about my age, and got your hear broken by this movie, get ready to cry again:

I’m sure all of you know of the Just for Laughs gag show.
It’s a hidden camera type gag show made for global syndication.
You’ve probably seen it syndicated in your local TV station as short fillers, and if not there then probably received an email at some point with a clip attached.

Anyhow, most of them are pretty unfunny, dumb, childish or the combination thereof.
However, this one is smart, funny and twisted. A brilliant gag!

Turn Yourself Into a Simpsons Character

Full disclosure: I’m a huge Simpsons fan. I’ve been one since the first season premiered, and I’ll probably be one forever. (Can’t wait for the movie!)

To promote the launch of the first full-length Simpsons feature film, Burger King and Fox have created The Simpsonizer. Woo-hoo!

Now, we’ve seen online cartoon “studios” before that allow you to create or construct your own character (Which can be you) – Like the cool South Park Studio.
However – Simpsonize Me is something else altogether.
It’s simply amazing!
You upload an actual photo of yourself, and the software analyzes it and creates a Simpsons character for you automatically.
Truly cool!

All Heroes episodes now available online!

Heroes. The best TV series I’ve ever watched. Period. Better than Lost. Better than 24.

I read some warm recommendations. Went out and illegally downloaded the episodes and watched them.
It’s THE best TV show ever. Did I already say that? Well, maybe because it’s the best TV show EVER.

OK, I think you get the point.
Anyhow, NBC made a great move and released all Heroes episodes for free streaming on its Web site!!!

Go there now, and promise me to, no matter what, watch at least the first 3 episodes. You won’t be able to sop afterwards.

The Simpsons Movie Trailer Released!

I’ve been a hardcore fan of The Simpsons TV show for many years now.

The teaser trailer has been circulating around for a few months, but I’ve just discovered the first full real trailer has been released a couple of days ago.

The episode is titled “Make love, Not Warcraft” and it’s an episode dedicated entirely to the “World of Warcraft” game.
If you like South Park, and know anything about World of Warcraft – You are going to die laughing.

‘Crocodile Hunter’ killed by Stingray!

Steve Irwin, the Australian TV presenter known as the “Crocodile Hunter“, has died after being stung in a marine accident off Australia’s north coast.

I’ve never been a huge fan or anything, but still, “Crocodile Hunter” was an American TV icon everyone are familiar with.
What a way to go huh?
